AMDD: Arkansas Math Discovery Day
The Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Arkansas is organizing AMDD, an event that will by hosted by the Fayetteville Public Library. Free and open to all age groups.
Everything and anything! There will be many booths, run by faculty and graduate students from the math department, with a variety of activities to enjoy.
And of course, Cookies will be there too! We plan two activities:
Design your own cards! We will play a card game and help you design your own set (or sets!) that you can take home and play with your friends and family.
Here is a puzzle for you: in our second booth you will be asked to team up with a partner and pick a color. You must both have the same color. The problem? We will listen to everything you say and watch everything you do, and you must keep your color secret from us! Seems impossible? We will work on the solution together.
AMDD will be held in FLP on April 19, 2025, 10am - 1pm. No registration required. There will be a lot of booths, so come early and enjoy them all!
